| Namaste ! | Welcome and Namaste to the web-site of the Vision Nepal Netherlands. Vision Nepal Netherlands is the Dutch Representative Office of Global Vision Nepal (GVN), a not-for-profit organisation aimed at developing the Nepali society in its broadest sense, through the active participation and involvement of western volunteers in the educational and ecotourism sectors. The head office is headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal and more details on our organization, including our vision and aims, are to be found on the Our Organization page. Nepal is a country of great contrasts. On the one hand, one can find richness and inspiration in Nepals culture, heritage, natural environment and spiritual enlightment. Despite the obvious characteristics of the country, Nepal is still a backward country in terms of national income and general awareness issues. It is therefore of the utmost importance that a lot of attention is focused on developing the educational system. As a volunteer of Global Vision Nepal (GVN) you will be able to contribute to Nepals educational cause by teaching at one of the many elementary schools in the Kathmandu Valley.
